I can't believe it is May already.

Today I made a smoothie with 2 servings of plain Greek yogurt, a cup of blueberries and the Balsamic vinegar. I put the berries and yogurt in the blender and got them blended just right. Tasted it and added the vinegar a few spoons at a time till I got the right flavor. It really brings life to the smoothie. I put it in the freezer to make it colder and firmer. The vinegar seemed to make it soupy.

My flowers are in bloom like crazy.

Weigela has many shades of the same color on the same branch.

The Knockout Roses are in full bloom. These are my red ones.

These are my pinkest Knockout roses. These are called the double Knockout rose and have more petals.

These are the lighter pink Knockout roses. Many of these I grew from cuttings of older plants. I used a product called Rootone but can no longer find it on the Internet. There are similar products out there and I would like to try them too.

Today I got out my blender and decided to make smoothies. I had just purchased 2 lbs. of fresh strawberries and wanted to do something healthy with them. I had some frozen yogurt to add, some coconut flakes, vanilla extract, and instead of sugar I added Balsamic vinegar. I didn't add exact proportions. I just add a few ingredients at a time till the smoothie tastes just right. I decided if pickled strawberries aren't a thing, they should be. It is delicious. The smoothie was so
refreshing I decided to start a new blog. I don't know if blogs are still a thing but why not?

I am not even sure what the blog is about but I like thinking outside the box and will find something. I just photographed my true Amaryllis plant in full bloom. The bulb has divided but it still bloomed. I have had this for many years and it is getting hard to carry in and out of the weather. It is the only one I have since the pink one had died. The pink one split into two bulbs and I gave half of it away then mine died. I wonder what happened. Maybe they have a secret network.

The prayer plant really will die if I try to pull out the tubers. I read that it has to be sliced into sections like surgery because the tubers have a network and share their nutrients. I've had this plant for many years also.
